The 2nd Afro-Caribbean Festival 2024
The African Caribbean Centre of Central Alberta is excited to invite you to the 2nd Afro-Caribbean Festival which will take place at Ross Street Patio and between 50th Ave to 48 Ave. Also, City Hall Park, Red Deer.
The Afro-Caribbean Festival will be held on Saturday & Sunday, August 17th and 18th, 2024. Sat from noon to 11:00 pm, and Sun from noon to 8:00 pm.
The Afro-Caribbean Festival is a vibrant festival that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Africans, Caribbeans and other nationalities across Central Alberta and Alberta.
It aims to showcase the diverse and inviting cultural tapestry of our regions of African and Caribbean communities.
The festival will feature a wide range of activities, including music, live performances, a fashion show, food vendors offering delicious cuisine, children's activities and an array of exhibits highlighting African Caribbean and other heritages.
We are proud to share that our 1st Annual Afro-Caribbean Festival, held in August 2023, was a great success, with over 5,000 attendees for the weekend in Red Deer. Our goal for this 2nd Annual Festival is to increase attendance to 10,000 and to raise $150,000. We strongly believe that with the unwavering support of businesses, service clubs, and organizations like yours, we can make this year's festival even more exceptional for our community.
